Purim!

PURIM: A Holiday of Reversals
Purim is the most carnivalesque Jewish holiday. It is a day when norms are subverted and reversed to commemorate the reversal of fortune recorded in the Book of Esther. Purim is celebrated with drinking, dressing up, and satirical performances, all recalling the evil decrees of Haman that were ultimately overturned.

To celebrate Purim, we started with a school costume parade and musical performance on Friday. We then noshed on some hamentaschen cookies.

We also went to the annual Purim carnival where we played games and won prizes and of course took home a goldfish! This year we have two that are living in a gladware and they are both named Nemo!
